The UW Libraries has a GIS Lab located on the ground floor of Suzzallo Library. It has 20 computers with ArcGIS 9.2 software. The lab is open 20 hours/week during academic quarters (closed interims and summer quarter). Although several academic departments provide labs with GIS software (as do the General Access labs in Mary Gates Hall and Odegaard Library), the Libraries GIS Lab is staffed by knowledgable individuals who can answer questions about the software and who can assist with locating and manipulating data for integration into a GIS project. Questions about the lab, available data, or GIS projects can be sent to gis@lib.washington.edu.
